Not available to meet until noon at earliest. Apologies.
Sitting in this blasted Hooper trial. So far nothing from father today, but am determined to hear first-hand what the grumbling's about--heard from Malfoy and several others last night. Father can't harbour any expectation of carrying the case. No idea what he thinks he's about.
Re. Mother and polyjuice. Still no idea where she got it. My inventory cleared audit. Again. (For what it's worth: the whole department came through clean.) Know you're both turning over all the usual stones, but it's unlikely Mother wandered down to Knockturn. Or sent her mudbloods there. But that's obv strongest idea: the mudbloods could have supplied her. The one she Obliviated, at any rate. Damned nuisance she was so adept with memory charms. Figure out where they could have got it.
Also. Gleaned this from my elf: Mother used pj to get access at Marlborough. Day or two before Ouroboros. [Had enough for more than one use.] The elf thought it was me, obviously, until Mother spoke. Didn't take my usual tone or issued a different sort of order. The elf reacted badly, possibly because I'd told it I'd cut off its ears the next time it let Mother in the house. Gather she tried obliviating the elf when it recognised her, but fumbled that. Maybe Obliviation doesn't stick with elves. Of course the elf didn't reveal any of this until Sunday. And by then it had worked itself into such a state it was nearly impossible to parse what it did admit.
Hang on. Father's standi-
Never mind. Procedural nonsense.
Either of you available at noon? Not in the conference rooms. Sparring D#2. If anyone's booked it, we'll pull rank.
