Managed to catch up with Tosha. Quite willing to set aside other things for this project. Diminishing returns on his other work--I'd say a break from that is in order, at the least. Can attest that it's making him pensive. (I'd say 'morose', but know he'd deny that.)
In any case, he perked up at the thought of this opportunity. Believe you'll hear from him or see him there soon.
Continuing to give thought to Brodie's fox. 28 May. 4 June. 8 July.

Date: 2015-07-08 10:37 pm (UTC)A. Longbottom offered Maebh in exchange for Hydra. Informed her that it was not a negotiation.
I believe they'll be quite sorry they rejected my offer, but I did expect that they would.
Yes. More than a month between the last and today. We've got no fox animagi in the palace that I know of, but it's one possibility. Brodie was in MEU with Gauge, Montague, and Parker. Friendly with Lana Sandoval-Pennifold and Sarah Yaxley. Had bedded a remarkable number of MLE staff, not to mention my brother-in-law.
So there are several possibilities, then.

Date: 2015-07-08 11:50 pm (UTC)Not that she has no value, only it's obviously not the sort they understand. M's use now will be as a tool for measuring the rigour of their new 'justice'. Suppose they can't decide what code to apply?
As for foxes, think it's likely a code for someone who fancies themselves clever.
Unless it's something to do with Ireland, and the reference is Guil Foxe. I can attest that he's dead, though. Saw the corpse myself.

Date: 2015-07-09 12:11 am (UTC)My experience has taught me that very few fancy themselves dull, even when their minds reflect the dullest of thoughts.
But it's clearly someone Brodie thinks of as clever. German background is possible, given the origins of the name "Reynard." Almost guaranteed to be a Slytherin. Someone not of their organisation, or else they'd employ their secret methods of communication.

Not entirely unrelated: have my eye on Baddock. Shame it was Ned we lost. Of the two, he was higher value. Better temperament. Better at following and anticipating orders. Less entrepreneurial. Baddock wants to be giving orders rather than taking them.
